LEARN SOME MAGIC TRICK !!!

Effect: In this classic trick, you have a spectator select a card and then lose it in the deck. You rest your first finger on top of the deck and as you lift your finger, the spectator’s card mysteriously rises with it. What you need: a deck of poker cardsHere’s how you do it 1. The ability to locate a spectator’s lost card a. A classic plot in magic, you ask a spectator to select a card. You lose the card in the deck and then later find it. We teach a basic technique for locating a spectator’s card. b. You remember another card in the deck and place it near the spectator’s card. Later, when you want to find the spectator’s card, you simply look for your memorized card. Once you’ve identified the card, you can reveal it, or perform a magical effect such as the rising card. Magicians refer to the use of a card to track another as a “key card.” c. Before you perform the trick, look at and remember the bottom card of the deck. In this case, the bottom card is the jack of clubs. d. Ask a spectator to select a card. In this case, the spectator has chosen the ace of spades. As you turn away so you don’t see the card, the spectator can show the card to others. e. At this point, you do not know the spectator’s card is the ace of spades. The card that is important to you is the jack of clubs that’s still on the bottom of the deck. f. Cut the deck and have the spectator return his card, the ace of spades, to the top part of the deck. Complete the cut and place the bottom card, the jack of clubs, on top of the spectator’s card. g. Secret: This image shows an exposed view as if you were looking-up from underneath the cards. As you can see, the jack of clubs will soon go on top of the ace of spades. At this point, you still do not know the spectator’s card is the ace of spades. h. Complete the cut. The jack of clubs is now on top of the spectator’s selected card, the ace of spades. i. At this point you can have the spectator cut the deck several times, which won’t change the order. The key card remains next to the spectator’s selected card. j. Simply lift up the cards with the faces towards you and look for your memorized card, the jack of clubs. When you find the jack of clubs, the card besides it will be the spectator’s card, in this case, the ace of spades. k. Note that if you find your card, the jack of clubs on the bottom of the deck, the spectator’s card is now on top of the deck. The cutting separates the cards, which will occur occasionally, but because of the card locations, you can still determine the spectator’s card. l. Cut the spectator’s card to the top of the deck. If the spectator’s card is already on top of the deck as a result of the cutting, which will sometimes occur, you don’t need to do anything. m. Ask the spectator to name his card. Turn over the top card to reveal his card on top. n. Instead of simply revealing the card, you can perform The Rising Card. 2. The Rising Card a. Find the spectator’s card and place it on top of the deck. b. Hold the deck in your left hand and point the first finger of your right hand just above the deck. If you are left-handed and want to perform the trick with your other hand, simply reverse the instructions. c. Bring the first finger of your right hand down until it’s resting on top of the deck. d. Secret: As you slowly lift your right first finger, the spectator’s selected card mysteriously rises with it, out of the deck. e. When you rest your right first finger on top of the deck, you secretly extend your right little finger until its tip is resting on the back of the top card, the spectator’s selected card. You do this behind the deck so spectators can’t see the move. f. As you raise your right first finger, press your right little finger into the back of the top card so that the card rises up with your hand. To spectators, it will appear that the selected card is rising with your right first finger. g. When the card is approximately half way out of the deck, simply grab the top edge of the card with your right first finger and thumb and quickly curl your right little finger in. You can freely show the card to spectators and even allow them to examine it. There’s nothing to find. h. Of course, you can only perform this effect when spectators are standing directly in front of you and can’t see the cards from the sides. Be careful of spectators at your sides when performing this one.

Effect: In this trick, you display three cards and ask the spectator to remember them. After turning the cards over, you remove the middle card. You ask the spectator if they can recall what the card is. And when you show it to them, it’s a different card. This is an easy trick that you can easily make and perform.

What you need: You’ll need four cards. It’s usually best to use three cards that look somewhat alike or are the same, and one that contrasts with the others. In this case, we’ll use three black number cards and a red face card, the queen of diamonds.Here’s how you do it 1. Secret: You use a trick card that has a fake corner. 2. Cut the corner off of the card that you will display in the middle. To obtain this corner, which is the secret, you’ll want to use one of the “alike” cards.” 3. Using clear adhesive tape, attach the corner of the cut-off card to one of the other cards. Again, you’ll want to use one of the other “alike” cards. 4. Place the corner of the “different” card, in this case the queen of diamonds, under the corner that’s taped onto the first card. 5. Place the last card so it covers the “different” card. You’re ready to begin the trick. Display the cards in a fan. Ask the spectator to remember which card is where. 6. Turnover the fan of cards. 7. Remove the middle card. Be careful not to expose the extra corner that taped to one of the cards. Ask the spectator if they can name the card that you removed. 8. Turnover the card to show that it has somehow changed. Quickly put your cards away.
